Privacy policy
Last updated: October 23, 2026
Henos Soccer Academy is a small youth soccer training program run by Coach Awet Berhane in Silver Spring, Maryland. This page explains what happens to the information you share with me through this website, and what the website itself does and does not collect. It is written plainly on purpose.
What I collect
When you fill out the booking form, I receive what you typed into it. That is your name, your phone number, your email address if you chose to add one, the player's age, how much they have played, the type of training you are interested in, your availability, when you want to start, and anything you wrote in the message box.
I use that information for one purpose. To contact you about soccer training with Henos Soccer Academy and to answer your questions.
What the website collects on its own
Like every website, the company that hosts this site, Netlify, automatically receives basic technical information when your browser loads a page. That includes your IP address, your browser type, the page you asked for and the time. Netlify uses it to deliver the site, keep it secure and stop abuse.
That is all. This site has no tracking pixels, no advertising tags, no analytics, no session recording and no chat widget. It does not set cookies and does not store anything in your browser. The fonts and images are served from this website itself, so loading a page does not contact Google or any other outside company.
The training video
The video on the home page does not load until you press play. Until then, nothing is requested from YouTube. When you press play, the video loads from YouTube using its privacy enhanced mode, and from that moment YouTube, which is owned by Google, receives your IP address and may set its own cookies. Its use of that information is covered by Google's privacy policy, not this one. If you would rather not use YouTube, the page describes what the video shows.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Your browser may send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. This site does not track visitors across websites or sell or share personal information for advertising, with or without those signals, so it treats every visitor as if the signal were on.
Information about children
This site is written for parents and guardians, and for adult players. It is not directed to children under 13. The form asks for a player's age and nothing else about the child. It does not ask for a child's name, photo, address, school or contact information. Please do not submit that information through the form. If you would like me to know more about your player, tell me on the phone or in person.
If you believe a child has submitted personal information through this site, call or text me at (571) 477-9776 and I will delete it.
Photos on this site
The photos on this site were taken at Henos Soccer Academy sessions by MGA Visions. Players are not named on the site. If you are a parent or guardian and you would like a photo that shows your child removed, call, text or email me and I will take it down.
Who else sees what you send
I do not sell your information. I do not rent it, trade it or share it with advertisers, and I do not add you to a marketing list. The only companies involved are the ones needed to deliver your message to me:
- Netlify hosts this website, receives form submissions and stores them so they can be passed to me. Netlify runs submissions through an automated spam filter, which may check the content of a submission to decide whether it is spam.
- Google provides the email inbox where form notifications arrive.
- Your phone carrier and mine carry calls and text messages if you contact me that way.
Each of these companies handles data under its own privacy terms. Beyond them, no one but me sees what you send. I may share information if the law requires it, for example in response to a valid legal request.
Payments
This website does not take payments. Membership payments are arranged directly with me by Zelle or card, and those payments are handled by your bank or card provider under their own terms.
How long I keep it
I keep inquiries for as long as it is useful to follow up, and I delete them when they are no longer relevant. If you want your information removed sooner, just ask.
Your choices
- See it. Ask me what I have on file and I will tell you.
- Correct it. Tell me what is wrong and I will fix it.
- Delete it. Ask and I will remove it.
- Stop hearing from me. Say the word and I will not contact you again.
Call or text (571) 477-9776, or email henossocceracademy@gmail.com. English, Amharic and Tigrinya are all fine.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection and form submissions travel encrypted. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as financial account details or identification numbers through the form.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here and the date at the top of the page changes with it.
