Accessibility
Last updated: October 23, 2026
I want every family to be able to use this website, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, zoom or high contrast settings. The goal for this site is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What has been done
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a Skip to content link at the top.
- Text and buttons were checked for color contrast against their backgrounds.
- Every photo that carries meaning has a text description. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- The booking form has a visible label on every field, tells you which step you are on, explains any error in words next to the field, and moves your focus to the first thing that needs fixing.
- The Amharic and Tigrinya lines are marked with their language so screen readers can pronounce them correctly.
- Animations switch off when your device is set to reduce motion.
- The site works when zoomed up to 400 percent and on screens as narrow as 320 pixels, without sideways scrolling.
- There is no accessibility overlay widget. The pages themselves are built to be accessible.
Known limits
- The training video plays from YouTube, so its player controls and captions are provided by YouTube. Below the video there is a written description of what it shows.
- The booking form asks for a phone number. If a phone call is hard for you, email works just as well, and you can say so in the message box.
